Michael Fuhr, RMT, CST

Healthcare can be a comfortable experience. Let us show you how.

Mr. Michael Fuhr is a graduate of the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy.  He is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario.

Prior to becoming an RMT, Mike experienced first hand the perils of sitting at a desk all day: the curled-in shoulders, sore forearms, neck pain, tight hips and tension headaches. In his new life Mike strives to help others overcome discomfort through massage therapy and proper stretching.

He has a deep and abiding interest in the power of CranioSacral Therapy and is CST certified through the Upledger Institute.

Mike has taken additional training in Thai-style Foot Reflexology and Sports Massage, and will soon complete training to become a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).

Past patients have included people living with diabetes, blood pressure issues, HIV, depression, cancer, hepatitis, addiction, carpal tunnel syndrome and Parkinson’s Disease. During his time at Sutherland-Chan he was honoured to offer end of life care through the Palliative clinic at Princess Margaret Hospital.

Each fall Mike volunteers as massage therapist with Wellspring’s Peloton Challenge.

Mike practices with empathy and compassion, believing that everyone – regardless of age or health status – is deserving of treatment.
