Strawberry & Almond Butter Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • ½ cup steel cut oats

  • 1 ½ cup water

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds

  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp. almond butter

  • 2-3 tbsp. water (optional)

  • ½ cup strawberries, sliced

Directions

  • Bring 1½ cups of water and salt to a boil and add the steel cut oats.  Reduce heat to low; cover and cook for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.  Remove from heat.
  • Once oats are ready, add chia, vanilla and cinnamon, stir to combine. Divide mixture into two serving bowls.
  • In separate bowl, thin out the almond butter with 2-3 tablespoons of water. Top the oatmeal with strawberries and thinned out almond butter.
